Here is a post from my guest blogger, Dena Patel, FS, CME!!
For years women have tried different methods to shape their brows in order to help them look beautiful. Trends come and go, but your eyebrows are affected in the process if you are not using the correct method of hair removal.
Ever wonder how you can get the perfect shape to your eyebrows?
This can be done by threading. It is an ancient art to precisely shape brows naturally without the need to use any chemicals.
What are the benefits?
. Anti-Aging – no collagen loss
. All natural
. Precise shape to brows
. Safe for use with Retin A, Accutane, or other similar products used on face
. Less re-growth with regular treatments
. Top layer of the skin is not peeled or traumatized in the process
Look like yourself….
….only better
Call Aesthetic Specialists of the Palm Beaches today for a free consultation on eyebrow threading.

Undo The Damage!
We live in South Florida so all of us have sun damage. Even those of us who use sunscreen and wear hats get exposed to the sun and its damaging effects every day.
Did you know you can get sun exposure even while driving in an enclosed car?
Well, you can!
How can you undo the damage that has been done?
Photo-rejuvenation! Studies have shown that IPL treatments can reverse the damage done by the sun and help prevent the pre-cancerous lesions caused by sun damage.
Photo rejuvenation in our office, Aesthetic Specialists of the Palm Beaches, is achieved with the Palomar Starlux 500 and 300 at the Jupiter and West Palm Beach Locations respectively.
How does it work?
Using the principle of selective photothermolysis, these treatments target different chromophores in the skin, which selectively absorb the laser or light energy as heat and yield the desired response. These optimal wavelengths of light clear vascular and pigmented lesions by targeting the chromophores of hemoglobin (for vascular lesions) and melanin (for pigmented lesions). These damaged lesions are then cleared by the body, removing the appearance of the lesion from the skin. Pigmented lesions undergo a mild desquamation and slough off within two or three days, while the vascular lesions blanch and then resolve within 10 to 14 days.
Does the IPL photo rejuvenation treatment hurt?
No. There is minimal discomfort due to the cooling effect in the handpiece itself. Our patients find these treatments very tolerable.
How long does a treatment take and how many treatments will you need?
This is patient dependent and is determined by the amount of sun damage you actually have and how many areas we are treating in a single session. As an example, a facial treatment may take only 20 minutes and each additonal area will add to the time needed. Your technician will offer you a complimentary consultation and discuss all of these issus with you at that time.
How much does it cost?
The cost again depends on the regions being treated. Call today for your free consultation. Now is the time to reverse the damage that has been done over the summer months so you can look younger for the upcoming holiday season!!
